About us
Celestia Technologies Group (CTG) is an international technology group based on research and development, innovation and deployment of high technology products. Primarily, the group focuses on R&D, Design Services and Product Development for Aerospace, Defence, Telecommunications and Scientific markets. There is a rich pedigree of Product Development in Antenna, RF and Modem design for different Satcom & Terrestrial Systems.
The team here at Celestia Technologies Group (UK) Ltd have embarked on a challenging programme to design innovative technologies for High Throughput Satellite communication system. Part of this includes the well-publicised large contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a fully electronic scanning ground station, capable of tracking and communicating simultaneously with multi satellites. A broad range of technical domains are being worked on including Antenna, RF, Signal Processing, Beamforming, Digital Design and Real-time Software.
Given the increasing needs, we are keen to expand our team and hire highly motivated, capable engineers with good inter-personal skills and a positive attitude to tackle the seemingly impossible design requirements. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive welcoming work environment where everyone is happy, productive and able to maximize their individual potential.
Role & Responsibilities
Generate new topologies and architectures to achieve very challenging system requirements
Create floorplanning of entire layout and assist in on-chip layout
Create design and specification of on-chip blocks such as LNA, phase shifters, up/down conversion, modulators/demodulators (mixers), variable gain amplifiers, LO chains, Baluns, baseband filters, RF switches, attenuators, summing amplifiers and biasing circuits
Evaluate the designed on-chip circuits in the lab either in hand- or automated measurements
Discuss block and system performance with System Engineers
Prepare and participate in design, spec and layout reviews
Take ownership of your tasks; plan and execute in line with project needs
Document and disseminate your works in line with project wide expectation
Report to Technical (Project) Manager

5+ years commercial experience designing RF solutions and key blocks such as phase shifters, analogue filters, mixers, LNA, PA, Synthesizers
Hands-on experience in the design of complex chips (e.g. transceivers, wireless sensors, PLLs or convertors)
Familiar with well-known RFIC design tools, such as Cadence Virtuoso and Assura as well as ADS and SystemVue from Keysight
Familiar with standard CMOS, SOI, SiGe, GaAS, GaN and BiCMOS technologies
Understanding limitations and solutions of practical RF circuits and packages; e.g., coupling effects, isolation requirements, track and substrate loses, antenna feed calibration, signal loss at interfaces etc.
Familiar with lab test setups using signal analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, power meters, etc.
Proficient in MS Office tools and competent working on either Windows or Linux
